Samsung launched its 9 Series Laptop on Thursday, the 24th of February. This Samsung laptop is lightweight, ultra-thin and has a premium design. Samsung has taken the lead as one of the most portable, sleek and lightweight laptops in the market at the moment, outclassing even Apple's MacBook Pro. The Series 9 notebooks have launched in Samsung's home country, South Korea and these lightweight laptops are expected to hit the US markets in March. The Samsung laptop Series 9 is quite like the MacBook Air and is priced at $1,599.

A laptop comparison between the Samsung laptop and the MacBook Air reveal that the Series 9 notebook is 0.64 inches thick weighing 2.89 pounds, whereas the MacBook Air is 0.68 inches and 2.9 pounds. The Samsung laptop has more memory and aircraft grade Duralumin material. It also boots Windows in under 20 seconds!
